Let's Coffee Ride

Coffee has always been about connection. Spending the last two years behind the bar has been amazing and has allowed me the opportunity to serve so many people, most of whom I’d now call friends. 2020 was a crazy year and one of the things I felt like I missed the most was the connection. So much was hidden behind the masks, and we were all a little more guarded.

2021 rolls around and it had me wondering, what can I do to mix it up a little bit. Nothing crazy but how do I get those one on one moments, still make coffee the facilitator, and maybe not do it in the traditional coffee shop setting.

I had an idea to go for a short ride, carry all of the gear to make two cups of coffee, and just chat. It wasn’t intended to really be anything more than at first. One & done. But really, the whole thing was magical. A ride to get the conversation flowing and a cup of coffee in a camp type setting. Just something about being outdoors, the fresh air, coffee smelling and tasting amazing, and none of the usual distractions so you’re really able visit with each other.

I’ve had four fantastic “guests” so far and I’m hoping the weather is rolling into some sort of consistency, so I can also find my rhythm. For now, I’m going to attempt one coffee ride per week and see how it plays out. I’ll give it a shot as a weekly blog post also, kind of a “Hot Ones” style format, but as a blog.

I’m stoked to have the next few weeks lined up and thought I’d share with you…and also if it’s written down, hold myself accountable.
